Welcome to Nimble! We are a cloud-based software solution designed specifically for car dealerships to make compensation calculations the easiest part of payroll. 
If you landed here, you probably have a question or two you are hoping to get answered. We have created videos, step-by-step lists, and transcripts of every process within the Nimble ecosystem. This allows you to get your questions answered quickly.

The Roles

Nimble has been created with four types of roles. Each user will be one of the following and we have divided this page into those the roles. The four roles we offer are:
  • Basic
  • Uploader
  • Approver
  • Payroll

Basic Training

The basic role is for your salespeople. This role provides individual access for the salespeople to review current period pay once it is approved, previous pay, track year-to-date (YTD) earnings and unit sales.

Uploader Training

The uploader role is responsible for populating the Nimble system with the payroll information needed for each pay period. The upload format can be customized to each dealership but will always include 1) a sales files which is typically a direct output of your dealer management system (DMS) and 2) an employee file with employee data for the pay period. This typically includes hours worked, vacation hours, etc. 

Approver Training

The approver role is typically utilized by the manager responsible for overseeing the compensation process. The approver role allows users to review and either approve or reject compensation calculations.

Payroll Training

The payroll role is typically utilized by the accounting and human resources departments. The payroll role allows users access to the final output after the compensation has been calculated and approved. The output provided can be customized for each dealership and can be downloaded to a comma-separated values (CSV) file for direct upload into most payroll systems.
